Hoa Sen University has recruited for the Vatel program and started teaching in August 2011 with 30 students studying. Students are trained with one week of theory and one week of practice alternating with international standards which have been demonstrated from the very first hours of class. This makes students surprised and excited, and also requires students to constantly make efforts to adapt to the new environment as well as new learning methods. In particular, Vatel Ho Chi Minh also owns a Practical Restaurant right on the training campus – Vatel Saigon French Cuisine Restaurant – allowing students to observe and experience practical daily and on-site.
This is the new and first training model in Vietnam. The program uses an application restaurant right in Ho Chi Minh City according to the standards of Vatel International School for students to practice every day under the guidance of teachers and professional managers from abroad. Currently, more than 20,000 alumni of the university are working at famous hotels in the world. It is these alumni who form an important network to best support students when doing internships or finding jobs. After 3 years of study, graduates will be awarded a Bachelor’s degree in International Hotel Management (Bachelor’s degree in International Hotel Management) from the International School of Tourism and Hotel Vatel – France.”
