With the advantage of the curriculum associated with the International School of Art and Fashion, the Mod’Art Paris, and the College De Paris, students in HSU’s Fashion Design program have access international standard knowledge, unleash creativity, transform ideas into splendid runway works, and create their own brands.

Hoa Sen University’s Fashion Design originated from an international cooperation with Mod’Art International Paris in 2008 to help young people with passion for fashion promote their creative thinking on digital platforms and build brands. In particular, students will learn specialized subjects in English, the curriculum, updated annually to reflect world trends, aims to enhance their professional skills and international integration.

Starting in 2020, after completing foundational fashion design coursework, students will be chosen to study according to the major that suits their work orientation and strengths: specializing in fashion design or fashion business. In which, the major in fashion business has a cooperation with Ecole Conte School of College de Paris (France).

Graduates will receive a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design from Hoa Sen University. Particularly for students major in fashion business, they will receive an additional certificate of completion of the Fashion Business program issued by College de Paris.

The HSU Fashion Design program provides parallel training in design thinking and prototyping to ensure that designer clothes can be modeled according to the fashion production process. Subjects are delivered through project-based learning, covering a wide range of categories including women’s, men’s, children’s, auxiliary, underwear, and high-end costumes.

Apparel design projects consistently integrate research, branding according to the identity of an existing brand or building a new brand, in line with current trends, helping students have a marketing and business mindset right in the process of forming a collection.

In particular, the fashion business major will specialize in developing fashion creative ideas with business thinking, brand management, financial and business planning ability, fashion supply chain analysis and management, store management strategy, human resource management,…

The graduation project ensures the full cycle of collection implementation from concept research, sketching, material selection, costume prototyping, building technical profiles, brand marketing profiles for the collection and being shown the graduation collection to the fashion-loving public, professionals through the annual Fashion Creation show.

  • The curriculum and teaching materials are based on the curricula of the Mod’Art International Institute and the College De Paris.
  • Students begin studying specialized subjects in English from the end of the second year. In particular, they can practice in France with confirmation from College de Paris.
  • After graduating, students will be exempted from fashion business modules if they continue to study the Master Luxury and Fashion Management program of Ecole Conte – College de Paris.
  • Create a personal collection and present it to fashion experts within the framework of defending the graduation project at the annual Fashion Creation event.
  • Vietnamese and international lecturers and visiting lecturers are famous designers in the professional world and prestigious fashion companies, garment companies, and fashion magazines.
  • Students have the opportunity to study at partner schools under the student exchange program signed between Hoa Sen University, College de Paris and other pedagogical partner schools.

Fashion Design graduates can work in the following positions:
