[WORKSHOP] “Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC)”
The world is changing at breakneck speed. Enterprises are facing many uncertainties with increasing threats, from business risks, and technology risks to compliance risks. These threats are not isolated but linked together requiring comprehensive solutions.
So the need for a holistic approach to Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) has never been more important these days. GRC not only help businesses identify threats, and understand the financial impacts of those risks, but also make it easier for businesses to make decisions to achieve their goals reliably and sustainably.
However, for Gen Z students – the next generation of leaders, who are not fully knowledgeable of GRC, the concept, and the importance of this term, so the question will be:
- Why is GRC so important?
- How does GRC work?
- Common GRC models and tools?
Understanding the importance of GRC as well as its influence on Accounting students in particular and students interested in professional accounting knowledge, the Faculty of Finance – Banking organizes this workshop to help students understand to catch the GRC management tool in the modern business context. By participating in the workshop, you will:
- Learn more about the benefits of GRC.
- Gain a better understanding of the relationship between GRC and Internal Audit.
- Introduction of GRC Technology and three lines of defense.
In addition, attending the workshop are two special guest speakers from “Big4” – KPMG Tax and Consulting Co., Ltd:
- Ms. Nguyen Thi Huyen Trang – Associate Director of KPMG.
- Mr. Pham Duy Bao – Manager, Risk Consulting KPMG.

Workshop: “Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC)” held on October 28 successfully brought new knowledge about the GRC concepts to students and received attention from you. Here are some pictures of this memorable session!
The workshop started with the participation of two special guests from “BIG4” in the Accounting – Auditing world, KPMG Tax and Consulting Co., Ltd.
At the workshop, a large number of students heard from guest speakers sharing various aspects of the concept of GRC, a topic that is not too new but is gradually receiving a lot of attention because of its importance.
In addition, the workshop held at hall 605 was designed with the image of “terraced fields” and had no chairs, closing the distance between guest speakers and students.
Most especially, the enthusiastic participation of the students when asking a lot of questions, showed that they were interested in the topic of the workshop and wanted to learn from the experiences of the guests.
The workshop ended well with new knowledge of GRC terminology through the clear and understandable presentation of the guests, along with enthusiastic interaction through various questions the audience asked for the program, which received many compliments from the speakers. We hope to see you again next time at upcoming events in the Faculty!
