Hoa Sen University announces the admission for Round 1 – undergraduate admission for the regular program in 2024.

On January 15, 2024, the Admissions Council of Hoa Sen University (HSU) announced the undergraduate admissions for the 2024 academic year. The admissions will be conducted in the first round for Method 2 (based on high school transcript evaluation), Method 3 (direct admission to Hoa Sen University), and Method 4 (based on the results of the National Entrance Examination for Universities in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in 2024) as follows:

1) Admissions based on the results of the National High School Graduation Examination in 2024 (Method 1)

• The total score of the three subjects (combination of subjects as specified by the Ministry of Education and Training) in the National High School Graduation Examination in 2024 must meet the minimum score required for supplementary admission consideration, which is the threshold score for ensuring the quality of university entrance determined by the University.
• Majors available for admission: According to the list of undergraduate majors in Section III of this announcement.

2) Admissions based on high school transcript evaluation (Method 2)

2.1. Admissions based on the academic performance (transcript) of three years of high school, excluding the second semester of grade 12

• The average grade of all subjects throughout grade 10, grade 11, and the first semester of grade 12 must be 6.0 or higher (rounded to one decimal place). The admission score must not be lower than the threshold score for ensuring the quality of university entrance determined by the University.
• Majors available for admission: All undergraduate majors.

2.2. Admissions based on the academic performance (transcript) of three years of high school

• The average grade of all subjects throughout grade 10, grade 11, and the entire year of grade 12 must be 6.0 or higher (rounded to one decimal place). The admission score must not be lower than the threshold score for ensuring the quality of university entrance determined by the University.
• Majors available for admission: All undergraduate majors.

2.3. Admissions based on the academic performance (transcript) of high school in a specific combination of three subjects

• The average grade of the three subjects must be 6.0 or higher: the average grade throughout grade 10, grade 11, and the first semester of grade 12 for subject 1, the average grade throughout grade 10, grade 11, and the first semester of grade 12 for subject 2, and the average grade throughout grade 10, grade 11, and the first semester of grade 12 for subject 3 (rounded to one decimal place). The admission score must not be lower than the threshold score for ensuring the quality of university entrance determined by the University.
• Majors available for admission: All undergraduate majors.

3) Direct admission to Hoa Sen University (Method 3)

• Candidates who have graduated from high school according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and meet one of the following conditions based on the requirements of the major for ensuring the quality of university entrance determined by the University can submit their application for direct admission. The specific conditions are as follows:
• Have an international English certificate: IELTS (academic) with a score of 5.5 or higher, or TOEFL iBT with a score of 61 or higher, or TOEIC with a score of 600 or higher;
• Have a regular college degree or higher or an equivalent degree according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training;
• Have a professional intermediate degree (TCCN), a regular vocational degree, or a vocational degree (or equivalent according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training) in the same major or a related major to the major applied for;
• Have an international certificate or diploma related to the field or major applied for from institutions such as the Ministry of Science and Technology, Microsoft, Cisco, NIIT, ARENA, APTECH;
• Have achieved an award of encouragement or higher in national or international competitions, talent competitions in the fields or majors applied for;
• Participate in an interview with the departmental council organized by Hoa Sen University and achieve a score of 60 or higher (on a scale of 100).
• Majors available for admission: All undergraduate majors.

4) Admissions based on the results of the National Entrance Examination for Universities in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in 2024 (Method 4)

• Candidates must take the examination and achieve a score of 600 or higher (on a scale of 1200) in the National Entrance Examination for Universities organized by Ho Chi Minh City and a score of 67 or higher (on a scale of 150) in the National Entrance Examination for Universities organized by Hanoi.
• Majors available for admission: All undergraduate majors.

Other notes:

• For candidates who do not meet the admission requirements for Method 2, priority will be given to admissions based on Method 1, 3, and 4. Candidates can choose multiple admission methods that are suitable for their conditions and abilities.
• In addition, the University will directly admit all candidates who meet the requirements for direct admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and the University in 2024. Candidates must submit their application for direct admission according to the direct admission regulations of the University.
• Candidates who apply for admission based on Method 3 (criteria for competency interview score) will be notified of the time and location by the University for each round (candidates need to provide accurate identification number/citizen identification card, phone number, and email address. In case of any errors that cannot be corrected, candidates need to contact the University immediately for assistance).
