Accounting – Auditing, the job of telling stories with numbers.

This is a field of study that trains you to be careful, careful, skilled in the analysis and handling of situations that arise in financial economics, a specialty that no other field can compete with.

Distinguishing between the Accounting and Auditing majors

• There is no complete separation between the two majors of accounting and accounting – auditing, these two majors have a very close relationship with each other, both originating from the Accounting field. The similarity between the two majors is that students are trained to serve accounting and auditing work in enterprises and state agencies. The difference is that the accounting major delves into financial accounting, management accounting, and international accounting, equipping students with knowledge to work well in domestic and foreign units and enterprises.
• To be able to work well in the auditing field, students must have a good understanding of accounting knowledge and need to spend additional time working in practice. After graduating from university, they should strive to obtain professional certificates of high value such as the CPA certificate of the Ministry of Finance of Vietnam, the ACCA certificate of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants of England, the CPA certificate of Australia… These certificates can help accountants and auditors expand their scope of activities, and enhance the competitiveness of human resources in the accounting and auditing field of Vietnam.

Being proactive in choosing a job

• After graduation, students majoring in Accounting and Auditing can work in almost all businesses in all fields in state financial management agencies, social organizations, and non-governmental organizations. Some attractive positions that you can take on in the accounting and auditing field include accountants, controllers, tax officers, financial consultants, bank employees, securities brokers, distribution channel management specialists, lecturers, researchers, transaction and treasury officers, project management officers, auditors, financial management specialists…
• Especially, the industrial revolution 4.0 provides accountants and auditors with opportunities to access new knowledge easily and without geographical limitations.

Innovating training to meet integration requirements

• Statistics from the Vietnam Association of Certified Public Accountants (VACPA) show that Vietnam currently has about 1,000 ACCA members, while the global number is 170,000 members. This shows that the high-quality human resources in the accounting and auditing field of Vietnam are still modest.
• With a focus on practical training as well as encouraging independent thinking and teamwork skills of students through practical issues of enterprises, Hoa Sen University has developed a teaching program based on the English-Vietnamese, English-English method. Teaching materials are mostly in English, referenced from Accounting and Auditing programs of universities in developed countries such as England, the United States, and reference materials are 100% in English.
