- For individuals in the correct group of majors (English Language, English, English Literature): exemption from Supplementary Knowledge courses.
- For individuals in closely related majors (English Education): required to take 3 Supplementary Knowledge courses: Phonetics & Phonology, Semantics, Morphology & Syntax.
- For individuals in other majors: required to take 5 Supplementary Knowledge courses: Phonetics & Phonology, Semantics, Morphology & Syntax, Introduction to Teaching, Introduction to Translation & Interpretation, and have an English language certificate equivalent to level B2. - Conditions for course exemption at the university level: at least 2 credits and no failed courses.
- TESOL certificate or professional development certificate for university teaching (valid for no more than 5 years) considered for exemption from Introduction to Teaching.
