Hoa Sen University successfully organized the Master of Business Administration (MBA) Thesis Defense Council on March 12, 2022
Yesterday, on March 12, 2022, the Postgraduate Education Institute successfully organized the thesis defense ceremony for Master of Business Administration (MBA) candidates, with 4 graduate students. We are proud to introduce and congratulate the New Masters of Hoa Sen University!
The master’s thesis is a culmination of the students’ academic achievements, documenting their research process and efforts. The MBA students were able to apply their specialized knowledge and practical experiences, confidently presenting their research results before the council. The thesis topics presented were all evaluated to have both theoretical significance and high practical applicability.
The thesis defense council, chaired by Assoc. Prof. Vo Thi Ngoc Thuy – Rector of Hoa Sen University, along with faculty members and industry experts, had a focused working session and impartially evaluated the students’ thesis topics. Additionally, the council provided constructive criticism and expert suggestions to help students better understand and refine their theses.
New Master Nguyen Hoang Kim Khanh, an MBA student of Batch 6, still feels excited after successfully defending his master’s thesis and achieving the highest score from the council. Kim Khanh shared: “I am pleasantly surprised by this unexpected result. I would like to express my gratitude to the Rector and the Council for their valuable feedback and suggestions, which helped me improve my thesis. During the thesis process, I encountered challenges in choosing a topic and finding an appropriate advisor. However, I received tremendous support and encouragement from my professors, colleagues, and family. The MBA lecturers provided many ideas to develop my topic further and advised me on advanced, in-depth knowledge to enhance the quality of my argumentation. Especially, my advisor, Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Duy Phuong, who demonstrated a serious working attitude, closely monitored and supported me in refining the topic, suggesting reference materials, guiding literature review, and research methods in a scientific and effective manner. Moreover, he is an expert in scientific research, so he provided me with extensive support in the most systematic and standardized research methods possible.”
Continuing the tradition of scientific research from previous cohorts, the topics of the MBA students not only have practical implications but also some research works have been published in specialized scientific journals recognized by the State Professorship Council. The thesis “Factors Affecting Job Satisfaction in the Hospitality Industry in Ho Chi Minh City” by New Master Nguyen Dong Tuyen, an MBA student of Batch 7, under the guidance of Dr. Le Dinh Nghi, was published in the Asia-Pacific Economic Journal – Issue 605, released in February 2022.
The Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at Hoa Sen University is designed over 18 months, not only helping students enhance and update their specialized knowledge but also equipping them with valuable skills in career development, leadership thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
