Professional Development Workshop # 6
Faculty of Languages- International Cultures would like to cordially invite all interested teaching staff members and students to attend Professional Development Workshop # 6, scheduled on Thursday afternoon, 13:00 pm- 16:00 pm, Room 607, Nguyen Van Trang Campus, Hoa Sen University.
The workshop is presented by our distinguished guest speaker, Dr Nguyen Thi Hong Nhung with the topic: Writing for scholarly publication in educational research.
Dr Nguyễn Thị Hồng Nhung is doing research in Australia. She had been a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Languages- International Cultures before working for her Ph.D. in Australia. Dr Nguyễn engaged in a variety of funded research projects and had a large number of publications in high-quality academic journals and publishers. She is currently a member of The Languages and Cultures Network for Australian Universities.
With extensive experience in English language teaching, research practice and peer review, Dr Nguyen Thi Hong Nhung should ignite an invaluable discussion and contribute valuable insights to Workshop # 6.
The workshop is expected to be useful for lecturers doing research for publications, students doing MA degrees or undertaking research projects and those who plan to undertake doctoral studies since understanding and knowing how to write a journal article helps with thesis writing.
Together with Dr Nguyen Thi Hong Nhung is the presence of lecturers and researchers who have experience in the field of publication, including Dr Tri Hoang Dang, Dr Nguyen Phuong Lien, Dr Tran Ngoc Tien, Dr Tran Van Duong, Dr Le Dao Thanh Binh An. Hopefully, with a strong group of experienced writers, the discussion of the day will be thorough and insightful.
Workshop # 6 aims to help enhance research skills and build a community of research practice as a part of professional development to make Vietnamese identity in international research publication possible.
