Memorandum of Understanding signing ceremony between Hoa Sen University and Pearson Education

To promote and develop the cooperation relationship in improving the quality of English education, training, and testing, on April 21, 2022, Hoa Sen University signed a memorandum of understanding with Pearson Education – the world’s leading education group with more than 20,000 employees operating in more than 70 countries with a mission to help people make progress in life through learning. Pearson provides resources, learning materials, educational technology, tests, and certifications that help learners around the world reach higher goals and unleash their full potential.

Hoa Sen University and Pearson Education wish to research and cooperate in the following basic areas:

• Providing all HSU teachers and students with a rich and effective system of teaching and learning resources and materials, applying the most advanced educational technologies, and supporting materials incentives instruction to teachers according to Pearson’s policy.
• Develop and implement a benchmarking system for assessing English proficiency using Pearson’s tests, including the Versant and PTE Academic, as well as recognizing these certificates as equivalent to English language entry and exit standards. English for each stage of training at HSU. The number of Versant exams expected each year at HSU is about 2,000 at least.
• Establish and implement standardized training and professional development frameworks and programs for English language teachers, including improving English language skills, enhancing teaching skills, and supplementing professional knowledge.
