The signing ceremony of a memorandum of cooperation between Hoa Sen University and Person Education

In order to promote and develop cooperation in improving the quality of English education, training and testing, on April 21, 2022, Hoa Sen University signed a memorandum of cooperation with Pearson Education, the world’s leading education group with more than 20,000 employees operating in more than 70 countries with the mission of supporting people to make progress in life through learning. Pearson provides resources, learning materials, educational technology, testing and a certificate system to help learners around the world achieve higher goals and awaken their full potential.

The two sides wish to research and cooperate and implement the following basic areas:

• Provide all HSU teachers and students with a rich and effective system of teaching and learning support resources, applying the most advanced educational technologies, and incentives to support teaching materials for teachers according to Pearson’s policy.
• Develop and implement an English proficiency assessment system using Pearson’s tests, including Versant and PTE Academic, as well as recognizing these certificates as equivalent to the English proficiency entry and output standards for each stage of training at HSU. The number of Versant tests expected per year at HSU is at least 2,000.
• Establish and implement a standardized professional training and training framework and program for English teachers, including improving English proficiency, strengthening teaching skills and supplementing professional knowledge.
