Congratulations to the Outstanding Members of the HSU Chinese Language Club for Advancing to the Finals of the 2024 Vietnamese-Chinese Cultural and Arts Competition for Southern Region Universities!

After three nights of competition with nearly 70 performances, the second edition of the 2024 Vietnamese-Chinese Cultural and Arts Competition for Southern Region Universities officially concluded on the evening of April 10th.
In this year’s competition, two students from the HSU Chinese Language Club, Nguyen Ngoc Quynh Anh and Lai Ho Nguyet Minh, competed with other universities with their solo singing performance “Meeting You at the Right Time” and a solo singing performance accompanied by the zither “Moonlight Speaks for My Heart”.
The Vietnamese-Chinese Cultural and Arts Competition is a major artistic playground organized for students majoring in the Chinese language and those who have a passion for understanding Chinese culture and the Vietnam-China friendship relationship among universities and colleges in Ho Chi Minh City. Additionally, this activity also contributes to enhancing students’ awareness of the friendly cooperation between the two countries. The second edition of the 2024 Southern Region Vietnamese-Chinese Cultural and Arts Competition brought together artistic talents from nearly 20 universities and colleges.
The judging panel accompanying the contestants in the competition included Mr. Peng Zi Hao – Vice Chairman of the Chinese Business Association, Ho Chi Minh City Branch; Ms. Kieu Thi Lieu – Lecturer at the Military Culture and Arts University; Mr. Doan Ly – Choreographer, Vietnam Dancers Association; Singer, musician Sy Luan – Deputy Head of the Institute of Music and Arts, HUTECH; Ms. Phan Bao Nhu – Classical Dance Choreographer, Lecturer at the Department of Classical Dance, Bong Sen National Folk Music and Dance Theater.
After three nights of competition, the judging panel has selected the top 21 outstanding performances to compete in the Finals, which will take place on May 17th, including one performance from Hoa Sen University.
Congratulations to Lai Ho Nguyet Minh – a student majoring in English Language, a member of the HSU Chinese Language Club – 青春大本营 for excellently advancing to the final round of the competition.
