Webinar: “Effective and independent learning in the university environment: The case of a UK university and applications for Hoa Sen students”

You have been working and studying in a university environment, where learning methods determine success as the foundation for finding the best job in the future. Faculty of International Trade and Logistics (ITL) – Hoa Sen University has connected and is pleased to invite lecturers and researchers from Aston University, UK to share with you the most effective learning methods. at an advanced university in the world. Therefore, the ITL faculty team wants students to learn about international exchanges to further develop their own abilities.
Wishing you a successful and happy exchange with the teachers (Viet Kieu), especially the very young Associate Professor, Bach Nguyen, who is the leader of the exchange group from Aston University, UK; and with teachers and friends in our department.

An Nguyen (University of Northampton)
Mr An Nguyen is a marketing executive at Nido Legal Ltd and doing an MBA at the University of Northampton. Before joining NIDO as a marketing executive, Ansel was a trainee lawyer at a magic circle law firm specializing in M&A, financing and international trade law. He achieved several awards such as 1st runner-up in the FBL Challenge Competition 2020 organized by the University of Northampton, Best Memorial Award in Commercial Arbitration Moot 2019 in Vietnam, Best Memorial Award in VMoot 2018 in Vietnam, 3rd Prize in Research Paper Competition for Student 2018 organized by Ministry of Education and Training in Vietnam, and having two articles published by Vietnam State and Law Review Journal.
Thien Duong (Department of Chemical Engineering)
Dr Thien Duong is a research fellow of the Department of Chemical Engineering at Aston University, UK. He took his PhD from the University of Manchester directly after the undergraduate program. He is a Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry and the Vietnamese Chemical Association. His awards include the President’s Doctoral Scholar Award at Manchester University, the Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship for Research Excellence at the University of Nottingham and several scholarship awards for excellent students from HCMUT and other external companies.
Hai-Anh (Department of Marketing)
Dr Hai-Anh Tran is a Lecturer in Marketing at Aston Business School. She teaches Service Marketing, Consumer Behavior, and Brand Strategic Management. Hai-Anh’s expertise lies in the field of service marketing, consumer psychology, and marketing communication. She holds a PhD in Marketing from the University of East Anglia, UK, and won the Association Consumer Research’s funding for her work on brand communication.
Bach Nguyen (Department of Economics, Aston University)
Dr Bach Nguyen is an Associate Professor in entrepreneurial economics at Aston University, UK. He took his BSc in China, MSc in Scotland, and PhD in England. He is a member of the Academy of Management, US; Regional Studies Association, UK; and Royal Economics Society, UK. Before joining academia, he spent several years working in the banking sector as a professional data analyst.
