HSU STUDENTS STUDY FILM MAKING WITH DIRECTOR-PRODUCER TRAN THANH

In a conversation with students at Hoa Sen University (HSU), Tran Thanh admitted that his two film works, The Godfather and Mrs. Nu’s House, both created two clear streams of love and hate in the audience. The male artist is also not too concerned when others criticize him or his films are considered “toxic successes”.

Hari Won’s husband confided that the success of Mrs. Nu’s House, with a revenue of 450 billion VND, was a miracle for the entire team. When it reached the audience, the film received a series of mixed praise and criticism. Some people liked it very much, but many viewers also criticized the quality and performance style of this movie. “Mrs. Nu’s family won big but still received countless criticisms. Many people say my film is a toxic success. Strange views always lead to two-sided reactions. Anyone who likes it will love it. Those who hate will hate very much,” he added.

Tran Thanh believes that the tastes of Vietnamese audiences are extremely unpredictable. He denied that he always makes big profits when making movies thanks to good grasp of Vietnamese audience tastes. “If I understood the audience’s tastes, I wouldn’t have been cursed so much,” he said.
