[HOASEN AROUND THE WORLD] HSU STUDENTS TELL THE STORY OF THE FIRST TIME WELCOME THE NEW YEAR IN THE “WEST” DURING THE EXCHANGE SEMESTER IN FRANCE
Truong Anh Tu – HSU Logistics – Supply Chain Management student is currently on an exchange semester in France. Tu is participating in a study exchange at IDRAC Business School – a private business school in the TOP 9 leading business schools in France.
After 4 months of studying in France, the HSU student has countless memorable memories. This is also the first time Tu celebrates New Year and the upcoming Lunar New Year in a distant country.
“This is the first year celebrating New Year in the city of Lyon, France, the emotions on New Year’s Eve are very difficult to describe in words. I realize the big difference between French culture and Vietnamese culture. Major French supermarket chains close before 12 noon. Everyone goes home to enjoy New Year’s Eve with their families. There is no countdown, no fireworks display and no bustling, crowded atmosphere like in Vietnam. I really miss home and want to have a meal with my family.”
Besides the challenges of being alone in a distant country, studying in France also brings many opportunities for Anh Tu to explore the culture, country and job opportunities in your country. Tu said that the class has many representatives from countries such as China, Taiwan, India, Korea, Italy, Germany, France, Spain, etc. The teachers at the school are also extremely enthusiastic when guiding and teaching students.
