On the afternoon of April 25, at Hoa Sen University, the semi-finals of the Hoa Sen Young Logistics Talents 2021 contest took place with the theme “Break your limits – Break through all limits”.

In the semi-finals, with the participation of 7 excellent teams, passing the Online Qualifying Round (April 4, 2021 – April 11, 2021), from Hoa Sen University, Ho Chi Minh City Banking University . HCM, University of Transport, Ho Chi Minh City. HCM, International University.

Participants in the Jury include: lecturers of HSU Faculty of Economics and Management; Mr. Lai Van Thanh – Operations Director of Smartlog Supply Chain Solutions Joint Stock Company; Dr. Le Thi Anh Tuyet – Lecturer of Department of International Economics – City Banking University. HCM and PhD. Nguyen Van Hop – Head of Faculty of Engineering and Industrial Management, International University, City. HCM.

The Semi-Finals begin with the Head-to-head competition, where teams draw lots to choose their Group. In the Head-to-head competition, each team will answer 40 questions by ringing the bell the fastest. Time to think and answer for each question is 30 seconds. The team that answers correctly and fastest gets 2.5 points/question. When the fastest team answers incorrectly, the team that answers correctly and is the second fastest will receive 1.5 points/question. The total score for this test is 100 points.

The dramatic confrontation competition came from the SVENGERS team from Hoa Sen University.

The Confrontation section requires each team’s agility and ability to analyze questions, so the round was competitive, thrilling and extremely exciting. Although they only had a few seconds to think and answer each question, with the knowledge and skills they had equipped, the teams performed extremely well and completed their test well. After the Confrontation competition, 7 teams entered the Eloquence competition. The teams took turns presenting their own topics and the judges asked questions to answer.

Eloquence contest of HSL Team – Hoa Sen University.

The Eloquence contest is the most important and anticipated part. In the Eloquence contest, each team will draw topics and have 30 minutes to prepare answers, 15 minutes to present and 15 minutes to answer questions from the jury. With creativity and dynamism, the competition teams were very sharp and came up with solutions to solve problems with their topics. The judges’ critical questions also partly helped candidates see the problem more deeply in each solution.

Between competitions, cheering audiences can participate in exciting prize-winning games and enjoy attractive musical performances from guest singers.

Contestants anxiously listened to the announcement of the semi-final results of the competition.

The final results after a tough and dramatic competition, the 4 best teams were selected into the final round of FIRE (First Prize – Banking University), HSL team (Second Prize – Hoa Sen University), THE BOX team (Third prize – International University), SVENGERS team (Fourth prize – Hoa Sen University). The remaining teams won Consolation prizes.

The performances of the teams in the semi-finals of the competition brought many emotions and unforgettable impressions to the participating teachers and students. The teams calmly and confidently completed their presentations and received praise from the audience.
