Job description:
The function of this role is to lead the division, proactively market and market to new customers growing our chemical and tank container logistics business. Set strategic goals for the entire department nationwide, in line with Product’s global strategy. Additionally, to map the market, develop existing domestic customers, expand our service range, increase market share
Departmental P&L responsibilities.
Acquire new business from new and existing customers based on value proposition and solutions, including but not limited to:
1.Special tank transportation and related round-trip services.
2.Standard one-way tank dealer transport (T11)
3.Dry bulk logistics and transportation
4.Transportation of liquid gas tanks (T75) and related services
5.Compressed air transportation (T50) and related services
6.Corrosive products require liner transport and related services
7.Transportation of temperature controlled tanks and related services
8.One-stop service for chemical customers, covering a full range of Chemical Freight services including FCL, LCL, Air Freight, Road Freight, Customs Handling, Storage and Distribution, value-added service.
Delivery to ship, removal of waste and debris
9.Set strategies and goals for domestic commercial activities, consistent with product group goals.
10.Seize growth opportunities with local and MNC customers of all sizes, managing relationships at every level.
11.Own the development of NVOCC tanks and other one-way tank supplies including tank manufacturers, rental companies, NVOCCs of all sizes, manage relationships at all levels, meet and exceed expectations of all parties.
12.Lead, inspire, coach and train teams.
13.Perform sales and marketing functions.
14.Drive successful sales, ensuring sales targets & KPIs are achieved.
15Organize and maintain sales reports, forecasts and budgets.
16.Collaborate with sales and operations teams across the Ben Line network on commercial activities, opportunities and new business introductions.
17.Manage locally and collaborate with regional procurement to support opportunities at competitive costs.
18.Leading and organizing effective improvement.
19.Make full use of BLA systems and tools.
20.Support business development in other determined or influenced countries.
21.Implement Key Account Management for local and global customers.
22.Maintain and update detailed CRM customer information. Specific contact information, scope of work and access timelines.
23.Market mapping.1
24.Any other reasonable duties as requested by the company’s senior management.
Job requirements:
Minimum 10 years of leadership role in freight forwarding or container shipping/chemical logistics experience.
- Chemical vertical customer relationships
- Proven track record of management teams nationwide.
- Commercial dynamics and customer engagement capabilities
- Excellent English writing and speaking ability
- Empathetic personality.
- Key account management skills
- Excellent presentation skills, ability to present solutions and value-added services.
- Competent in Microsoft Office
- Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Business / Management / Transportation / Logistics.
- Requires in-depth knowledge of the chemical logistics market.
- Be proactive with a commercial perspective
- Ambitious, results-oriented.
- Self-motivated, ability to work independently with initiative and self-organization.
- Strong commitment to delivering excellence with a strong focus on customer-centric service excellence.
- Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally as required
