Webinar “Hegel’s Phenomenology of Spirit”
23/02/2024
October 22, 2021
Ladies and gentlemen,
This October, the Philosophy major returns with a very interesting Webinar hosted by Program Director Dr. Duong Ngoc Dung: “Hegel’s Phenomenology of Spirit”.
INTRODUCTION TO WEBINAR:
- The work Phenomenology of Spirit is a masterpiece of classical German philosophy. If you study Philosophy and do not know this work, you can be considered as knowing nothing about Philosophy.
- For a long time, due to the influence of Marx’s Philosophy, Hegel’s ideas were seriously misunderstood and misrepresented in most official textbooks.
- Hegel deserves to be a giant philosopher in the world of human culture. His thoughts, unfairly labeled “idealist”, caused many intellectuals to fail to recognize the great stature of this Philosopher in almost every field of Philosophy, from ontology to to epistemology, politics, jurisprudence, psychology, ethics and philosophy of history.
- Anyone who has the ambition to enter the castle of Philosophy must once have a conversation with Hegel, not to find guidance for his life, but to participate in the great journey of absolute spirit.
- Of course, this talk is not a special topic on Hegel. Its very modest purpose is to stimulate the spirit of Philosophy in students who are eager to learn.
So are you curious about what kind of character Hegel is, the importance of his thought, and the basic features of Hegel’s philosophy?
