ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING THE ORGANIZATION OF SEMINAR EDUCATION OPEN
The mission of higher education is to serve people, serve society, serve the nation, and serve humanity. To carry out this mission, the university must be understood in the way of the philosopher of education Whitehead: « A university is a school of education, and a school of research;[ ….] The justification for the existence of A university is that it maintains the connection between knowledge and the excitement of life .
It is in the demands of this mission that the Liberal Education Seminar was born. Seminar GDKP aims to create a purely academic environment, promoting the true values of scientific research and education. This is also a space to meet and exchange with the public so that ideas can appear, be rubbed and developed in real life.

Members of GDKP Seminar: Nguyen Bao Thanh Nghi, Nguyen Thi Tu Huy, Do Thi Bich Lai, Nguyen Hoang Chieu Anh, Doan Thi Ngoc, Do Sy Huy, Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Giau, Nguyen Hoang Tuan, Tran Thi Hieu.of
Seminar attendees: Lecturers, students of Hoa Sen University, scholars, experts, researchers in the field of social sciences and humanities, students of universities in the City Ho Chi Minh, and the general public interested in the topics of the Seminar.
Seminar organization time:
- Organize 1 or 2 seminars every month, on Saturday mornings, throughout the school year.
- Each seminar takes place within 2 hours, with time allocated as follows: 1 hour for speakers to present and 1 hour for discussion.
Venue: Hoa Sen University, Nguyen Van Trang Headquarters.
Language: Vietnamese, English, or French, depending on the speaker. Interpretation is available if the speaker presents in a foreign language.

- March 2019: ” Why is popular literature attractive to readers?”, PhD. Hoang Phong Tuan, Deputy Head of the Faculty of Literature, Ho Chi Minh City University of Pedagogy.
- April 2019: ” Compassion for yourself: mindset and practice direction to create happiness and success “, MSc. Nguyen Hoang Chieu Anh, Faculty of Social Sciences, Hoa Sen University.
- May 2019: “ Cinema semiotics: how to watch and understand world-famous films? ”, MSc. Nguyen Thi Minh, Faculty of Literature, Ho Chi Minh City University of Pedagogy.
- June 2019: ” The importance of biographical research in literary and social life “, Dr. Pham Van Quang, Head of the Department of French Literature and Culture, Faculty of French Philology, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City.
- July 2019: ” Cultural crisis through the perspective of Hannah Arendt “, Ph.D. Nguyen Thi Tu Huy, Head of Education Department, Faculty of Social Sciences, Hoa Sen University.
In addition, with the flexibility of the program, if there are other lecturers and researchers who want to participate in the GDKP Seminar, depending on the time, two seminars can be organized in a month.
