Interview: Real People – Real jobs at Marico South East Asia Joint Stock Company

In the project Interview: Real People – Real Things within the framework of the Psychology in Business subject, a group of Psychology students at Hoa Sen University had the opportunity to meet and interview department representatives. Human Resources of Marico South East Asia Joint Stock Company to understand more about the actual work of the Human Resources Department and human resources workers.
The interview process took place at the company headquarters on the 28th floor of the Pearl Plaza building, 561 Dien Bien Phu, Binh Thanh District. The students had the honor to meet Mr. Bui Long Phi – of Human Resources Reception and Development, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh Tam – Senior Manager of Human Resources – Human Resources and Employee Relations Partner, and Ms. Tran Thi Doan – Senior Manager of Human Resources – Human Resources and Sales Partner.
More specifically, through the exchange process, the students learned lessons and career orientation options as follows: Marico Representatives provided dedicated support and shared openly. Open up about practical knowledge about the organizational structure, functions, and tasks of the HR and HRBP departments at Marico. Since then, the students have learned a lot of new knowledge as well as understand more about the difference between HR (Human Resources) and HRBP (Human Resource Business Partner). You also recognize specific opportunities to apply the psychology knowledge you have learned to these two fields in the future.
- A multinational company needs a professional working environment and a consistent business strategy.
- The work of an HR professional needs to comply with a Competency Framework. More specifically, students have the opportunity to learn about this Competency Framework according to American and Marico international standards.
- Difference between HR COE and HRBP: While HR COE (Center of Expertises) positions focus on building strategies, providing tools and best practices, HRBP (HR Business Partner will focus on best meeting the rapidly changing and specific business needs of each department, acting as an advisor and helping departments use HR tools. in the most efficient way possible.
- Psychology can be widely applied in the corporate environment from recruitment, human development, changing organizational culture behavior, leadership ability…
- In particular, applying psychology to build connections between businesses and employees is one of the important factors that help improve work performance, while also helping to preserve and develop the company’s culture.
