“To realize the policy of application-oriented law training, linked to practice, at 8:00 a.m. on November 29, 2020, Master of Law Dao Duy Tan, Lecturer of the Department of Business Law, together with the students General Law class Semester 1 of the 2020 – 2021 school year to attend the Moot Court Trial for Evading Military Service at the National Security and Defense Council, No. 346 Vinh Vien Street, Ward 8, District 10, Ho Chi Minh City.
Through this practical lesson, HSU students have accumulated many useful and interesting things compared to in-class lessons. Specifically, in terms of knowledge, students understand the provisions in Article 332 of the current Penal Code on the Crime of Evading Military Service, understand the circumstances mitigating penalties according to Article 51, and how to determine crime and apply the appropriate penalty. At the same time, know the regulations on the order and procedures for a first-instance criminal trial from Article 301 to Article 329 of the current Criminal Procedure Code.
Regarding skills, you have learned the skills of asking questions, the skills of solving situations that arise at the trial, and the skills of comparison, analysis, and synthesis of the presiding judge and the People’s Jurors. In addition, you will also learn the note-taking and document drafting skills of a trial clerk, litigation skills, oratory skills, and back-and-forth answering skills of defense lawyers and prosecutors. prosecutorial power at trial.
At the end of the trial, you have built and formed for yourself an attitude of respecting the law, you have always set an example to strictly comply with all provisions of the law and mobilized your family, relatives, and friends in the community.
