Professor Peder Jothen – Religious Ethics, Aesthetics, Practical Theology, Kierkegaard
Professor Jothen teaches classes in the Bible, Christian Theology, Existentialism, and Ethics. Current and previous courses include Religion, Beauty, and Art; Christian Ethics: Life and Death; The Bible and Ecological Desire, and Christian Theology and Human Experience. The professor has also led several distance/abroad classes, including Living Faith: Theology and Practice at Holden Village and Global Semester: The Ethics of Travel.
The Professor’s research revolves around moral formation and training issues, especially concerning culture and aesthetics. The Professor’s first book, Kierkegaard, Selfhood, and Art: Aesthetics and Christian Becoming, was published by Routledge Press in 2014.
Dr. Duong Ngoc Dung
Dr. Dung graduated with a Master’s in East Asian Studies from Harvard University in 1995 and received a Ph.D. in Religious Studies from Boston University in 2001. He taught Marketing, Human Resources Management, and Cross-Cultural Management at the University—Paris School of Management.
Dr. Dung also participates in teaching soft skills such as logical thinking, critical thinking, presentation, effective communication, and negotiation for many businesses and non-governmental organizations.
