UNITED NATIONS REPRESENTATIVES VISITED AND WORKED WITH HOA SEN UNIVERSITY

At the invitation of the Government of Vietnam, recently, a United Nations delegation had a meeting with the Board of Directors of Hoa Sen University to learn about the sustainable development goals and promote the realization of the right to development. HSU is also the only university in Ho Chi Minh City that the delegation visited because of its quality learning environment, which is a destination for many international students.

The delegation included: Mr. Surya Deva – Special Rapporteur on the Right to Development – Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights; Ms. Antoanela Stamova Pavlova – Officer of the Special Procedures Unit, Office of the High Commission for Human Rights of the United Nations; Mr. Nguyen Vu Minh – Deputy Director, Department of International Organizations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The discussion revolved around the history of development and achievements that HSU students and faculty have achieved in recent years.

The rapporteur expressed his impression on the learning environment, the diversity of students and faculty of HSU, both respecting differences and personalizing for students to develop their own abilities, and being international.
