THE FOREIGN COMMERCIAL SERVICE (FCS) INTERNSHIP PROGRAM 

GENERAL INFORMATION 

OPEN TO: All non-U.S. citizen undergraduate students residing in Vietnam 

POSITION: FOREIGN COMMERCIAL SERVICE (FCS) Intern (4 positions) 

END DATE: August 06, 2024 WORKING HOURS: Part-time (20 hours/week) 

LOCATION: HO CHI MINH CITY INTERNSHIP 

PROGRAM DURATION: Up to twelve (12) months

INTERNSHIP POSITION DESCRIPTION

The FCS Internship Program benefits both the U.S. Consulate General and interns by providing a valuable educational experience for students and assisting the Consulate General in accomplishing important mission objectives. FCS interns will be responsible for: Work with the U.S. Office of Trade Services to coordinate preparations for U.S. trade events in Vietnam. Provide access assistance to U.S. companies operating in Vietnam. Assist in researching, editing, and writing market research reports, contact lists, and brochures. Assist with customer communication and other tasks when required. All tasks will be done in English. DEGREE REQUIREMENT
Applicants must address each of the qualification requirements listed below with specific information supporting each item. Failure to do so may result in a decision that the applicant is ineligible. 

Students must be at least 18 years old at the time of program entry.

HOW TO APPLY

To be considered for FNSIP, each applicant must submit the following documents: 

  • An expression of interest form that clearly states the student’s goals and motivations when seeking an internship position as well as the connection between their courses and other learning experiences (Attached). 
  • Free Service Agreement (Attached). 
  • Official transcripts demonstrate good academic performance. 
  • Written license of the educational institution. 
  • Copy of ID card and student card. 
  • Any additional documentation (e.g., essays, certificates, awards, copies of degrees achieved, etc.) clearly states the qualification requirements of the position listed above.
