The American Centers in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City are thrilled to announce the launch of the 2024 Nationwide Podcast Competition! This is your chance to let your voice be heard and win exciting prizes.

Podcast Guidelines:

– Submit a podcast of five minutes or less on the theme: “Empower youth voices for positive impact on society”;

– Suggested topics include environment, education, gender equality, women empowerment, artificial intelligence, technology, and the U.S. – Viet Nam Comprehensive Strategic Partnership;

– Podcasts should be in English and suitable for a family audience;

– Formats can include stories, interviews, or conversations;

– Submissions can be individual or in groups of up to three people, with only one podcast submission per participant or group;

– Original work only. No generative AI or plagiarized content allowed.

Prizes:

– Judging criteria: originality, creativity, persuasive use of language, English fluency, and production quality;

– Winner(s): Kindle;

– Runner(s) up: Bluetooth Speaker;

– Best Peer Review: Camera Instax;

– Top 10 podcasts featured on the U.S. Mission’s social media pages and YouTube channel. The podcast with the most plays/likes will win.

Save the Dates:

– May 17, 2024: Competition Opens;

– July 31, 2024: Submission Deadline;

– September: Winners announced & awards ceremony at the American Center Hanoi.

Submission Guidelines:

1. Upload your podcast to Soundcloud;

2. Name your entry “AC Podcast_Podcast Title_Submitter’s name”;

3. Set privacy settings to “public”;

4. Submit your Soundcloud link and podcast script (Word or PDF) HERE.

Tips for a good Podcast:

– Content: Use storytelling, interviews, or conversations to connect with the listener;

– Flow: Ensure a structured beginning, middle, and end to keep the listener engaged;

– Editing: Skillful use of audio, including speech, music, and sound effects, to create an immersive experience.
