[Recap] HSU Global Engagement Kickoff and Session 1 of the Online Webinar series “Experiencing a Flat World: Local and Global with HSU”

At 17:00 on June 6, 2024, the HSU Global Engagement Club officially launched with the first meeting with the presence of club members, advisory board and the presence of students.

At the meeting, the club’s representative introduced the goals and mission of HSU Global Engagement, to connect students with global cultural exchange, learning and research opportunities. In addition, the meeting also included a presentation by advisory board member on the importance of developing global skills in the era of integration.

After the kickoff the Club organized Episode 1 with the topic “Embracing Cultural Diversity at HSU” in the online webinar series “Experiencing a Flat World: Local and Global with HSU”.

This first session focused on the topic “Global integration and opportunities for students”, with the participation of oversea student speakers from Belgium and France, along with Hoa Sen University student who is preparing to participate in an exchange program in Belgium. The speakers shared their experiences and visions on how students can take advantage of this great opportunity for personal development.

The meeting is not only an opportunity for students to gather and listen to interesting experiences from the speakers, but also a valuable opportunity to listen to the difficulties and challenges that they have suffered when studying in a foreign country with many new things. This is also an opportunity for students to “pocket” valuable advice from experienced students, helping others prepare better and avoid future difficulties and challenges while participating in the exchange program.

This event left a deep impression and marked a promising beginning for the HSU Global Engagement Club, promising to bring many meaningful and useful activities to students in the near future.
