Orientation Day 2024 at Hoa Sen University: Welcoming International Students, Connecting and Experiencing
On September 12, 2024, the Orientation Day 2024 event, organized by the Global Engagement Office, successfully took place at Hoa Sen University, attracting enthusiastic participation from a large number of international students. The event provided international students with a comprehensive view of Hoa Sen University’s modern, professional, yet friendly learning environment.
Welcome Speech from the University
Dr. Phan Thi Viet Nam, Vice President of Hoa Sen University, delivered a welcome speech to the international students, expressing her joy and excitement in receiving them at Hoa Sen. She emphasized that the university is always willing to accompany the students throughout their academic journey and hopes that both sides will grow together, achieving many successes in the future.
Notably, the event also welcomed Mr. Felix Lanceley, General Manager of UOW College Australia. In his speech, Mr. Felix shared insights into the upcoming collaborations between UOW College Australia and Hoa Sen University. He emphasized that both institutions will work together to enhance teaching quality and create opportunities for international student exchanges in the future. He expressed his hope that this partnership will bring significant educational breakthroughs and affirmed that UOW College Australia is ready to support and collaborate with Hoa Sen University in future international projects.
At the event, a representative from the Office of Academic Affairs provided detailed information on the academic regulations and policies for international students, along with specific guidance on how to use the learning system and register for courses at Hoa Sen University. This essential information helps international students better understand the university’s operations and makes their learning process more convenient.
Additionally, the Center of Student Experience and Employment also provided information about the university’s support services specifically designed for international students, such as housing, health check-ups, and other assistance programs. This ensures that international students can feel more secure during their studies and stay in Vietnam, with all the necessary amenities provided by the university.
The Q&A session was incredibly lively as international students actively asked questions and engaged in discussions with the university staff. Additionally, the interactive game session created a joyful and friendly atmosphere. The international students joined in with Vietnamese students, fostering a great sense of connection and breaking down language and cultural barriers.
Campus Tour
After the discussion session, international students had the opportunity to join a campus tour of Hoa Sen University.
