Opening Ceremony at Hoa Sen University: An Exciting Start to the 2024-2025 Academic Year
On October 5, 2024, Hoa Sen University (HSU) held the opening ceremony for the 2024-2025 academic year at the Nguyễn Du Sports Center in Ho Chi Minh City. The event attracted over 2,000 students and numerous distinguished guests, marking a promising new beginning for the Hoa Sen community.

The ceremony was honored by the presence of many esteemed guests, including:
- Representatives from the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Ho Chi Minh City.
- Representatives from the Consulate of the Kingdom of Morocco in Ho Chi Minh City.
- Principals from HCMC high schools such as Teleman High School, Bui Thi Xuan High School, Hung Vuong High School, and others.
- Representatives from both domestic and international partner businesses.
Additionally, the event featured the presence of the newly crowned Miss Universe 2024, Nguyen Cao Ky Duyen. The attendance of these distinguished guests highlighted the strong partnerships between HSU and its domestic and international partners, as well as the university’s significant role within the educational community.

A highlight of the ceremony was the recognition of students who received scholarships from Hoa Sen University. This acknowledgment celebrates their well-deserved achievements and the hard work they put into their studies and personal development.
Congratulations from the Consulate General Representative
Representative from the Consulate General in HCMC extended their congratulations, expressing best wishes to the students for a successful academic year. Their words highlighted the importance of education in fostering international cooperation and encouraged students to make the most of their opportunities at Hoa Sen University.
On this occasion, Mr. Xu Zhou, Acting Consul General, the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Ho Chi Minh City, sent a congratulatory letter to the new students. In his letter, he emphasized:
“The Consulate General of China in Ho Chi Minh City places great importance on and takes a deep interest in the development of universities in Southern Vietnam, supporting their growth through various means…”
He also encouraged students to actively participate in Chinese cultural activities. To celebrate the new academic year, the Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Ho Chi Minh City presented Hoa Sen University Library with 500 books, providing students with more opportunities to learn about Chinese culture and society.

Following the official ceremony, welcome activities for new students took place in the afternoon. The program featured vibrant musical and dance performances, creating a lively and bonding atmosphere within the Hoa Sen student community.
