Hoa Sen University & University of the Potomac: A Meeting of Minds for International Cooperation

On Friday, June 14, 2024, Hoa Sen University had the pleasure of hosting a meeting with the University of the Potomac. This meeting served as an opportunity for both institutions to explore potential areas of collaboration and strengthen ties.

About the University of the Potomac

The University of the Potomac is a private, for-profit university located in the heart of Washington, D.C.’s business and government district. They are an accredited institution offering a variety of affordable, high-quality academic programs online and in-person for students seeking a convenient and practical education. The university currently boasts three doctoral degrees, nine master’s degrees, sixteen bachelor’s degrees, five associate’s degrees, and fourteen certificate programs, with a focus on Management, Information Technology, and Business.

Meeting Discussion Points

The fruitful meeting between Hoa Sen University and the University of the Potomac centered on several key areas of potential collaboration:

• Certificate Programs: Both universities expressed interest in exploring the possibility of offering joint certificate programs that would benefit students from both institutions.
• Joint Master’s Degree Programs: Faculty members from both universities enthusiastically welcomed the prospect of developing collaborative Master’s degree programs. To further explore this possibility, a follow-up meeting between respective teams is planned.
• Memorandum of Understanding (MOU): Both parties acknowledged the importance of establishing a formal MOU to facilitate student and faculty exchange programs, as well as broader academic collaboration between the two universities. The University of the Potomac expressed their willingness to share a draft MOU for further discussion.

This meeting marks a significant step forward in building a strong relationship between Hoa Sen University and the University of the Potomac.
