Global Opportunity: The “Art On Climate” International Illustration Competition 2024
Climate change has been an urgent issue requiring immediate action for years. Everyone has played an important role in mitigating its impacts through sustainable practices, reducing carbon footprints, and advocating for change. Thanks for Technology, it empowers us to inspire global efforts for a sustainable future.
The “Art on Climate” International Illustration Competition invites illustrators to create artworks on climate change, serving as a platform for innovative ideas and inspiring proactive public action.
This is a completely free competition, so do not hesitate to participate in!
Eligibility: any person aged 18 or above, from any location, is eligible to participate.
Theme: Climate Change
Artwork Topics:
- Building Resilient Communities for Climate Change: Empower communities to adapt to climate risks, preparing for immediate impacts and future uncertainties;
- Defining Planetary Boundaries: Establish environmental limits to maintain planetary stability and health, preventing irreversible ecosystem damage;
- Fostering Inclusive Capitalism: Balance financial returns with social impact, encouraging sustainable and socially responsible business practices for a just society;
- Embracing Innovative Solutions with Technology: Use technological innovation to drive sustainability and inspire proactive daily life changes for a better future;
- Combating Climate Change with Collective Action: Unite individuals, communities, businesses, and governments to share resources and adopt sustainable practices for transformative climate change mitigation.
Important Dates:
- Registration and artwork submission: from May 20, 2024 to July 31, 2024;
- Winners notified by email and announced by September 30, 2024.
Artwork Specifications:
- Original works on climate change;
- Maximum of three artworks per participant;
- Unpublished and unawarded works only;
- No identifiable marks on artworks;
- Flat image, in color, A3 size (297mm x 420mm), in either horizontal or vertical format;
- JPG format, minimum 300 dpi, max 10MB;
- Short description (30-100 words) required for each artwork;
- The artworks can be created using any medium, including painting, computer software, and mixed media. However, AI-generated artworks, photographs, and clip art are not accepted.
