Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) in Sweden, is a top European business school with close links to prominent business leaders and influencers in the Nordic countries. In addition to conducting world-leading research, SSE offers Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD, MBA, and executive education to high-achieving students.

The scholarship will be granted to up to two individuals working at a Swedish organization, either in Sweden or internationally, who can show strong academic performance and practical work experience. Recipients are expected to not only represent Sweden positively but also act as effective ambassadors for the country. Additional requirements include holding a Bachelor’s degree in a non-business field, having at least five years of relevant work experience, and demonstrating a high level of English proficiency. The aim of the scholarship is to enhance the competitiveness of Swedish businesses in the global market.

Scholarship Benefits

The SSE MBA Executive Format is designed for business leaders aiming to achieve success in a global environment and become inspiring leaders. This program emphasizes sustainability, is conducted in English across three continents, and awards an MBA degree along with three additional certificates from international courses.

The Carl Silfvén Foundation, established through Carl Silfvén’s will in 1914, provides this scholarship. It covers the full tuition fee for the SSE MBA Executive Format program, as well as travel expenses for the mandatory international field trips, up to SEK 150,000 (including VAT). Additionally, the scholarship covers accommodation costs up to SEK 150,000 (including VAT) for those needing to travel to Stockholm for the campus weeks.

Requirements for application:

1. Possess significant work experience with a Swedish company, either within Sweden or internationally, and be prepared to leave their current job position to enroll as a student at the school.

2. Demonstrate a long-term commitment to contributing to the Swedish business community.

3. Do not hold a business degree.

4. Achieve excellent results in both academic studies and practical applications.
