Enhancing Global Education: The Collaboration Between Hoa Sen University (HSU) and Collège de Paris (CDP)
As the field of education continues to evolve, international collaborations play an increasingly crucial role in elevating academic standards and equipping students with a global perspective. Collège de Paris comprises a network of higher education institutions and organizations, dedicated to providing high-quality education across a diverse range of fields. Collaborating with premier partners, accrediting bodies, and agencies, Collège de Paris effectively addresses educational challenges both within France and on an international scale.
Their courses are recognized by national and international accreditation and labeling organizations, ensuring the quality of teaching and alignment of diplomas with European standards. The network includes 50 member schools, offers 14 professional diplomas recognized by the state, and boasts 500 permanent professors. Additionally, there are 140 authorized partners throughout France, all contributing to the institution’s mission of delivering exceptional education and fostering academic excellence.
Building upon their successful collaboration in Design and Arts programs, Hoa Sen University and Collège de Paris recently discussed new initiatives to further enhance academic and professional opportunities for students. These initiatives aim to broaden their cooperation into new fields such as Tourism, Logistics-International Trade, and Artificial Intelligence.
- Joint Programs: This includes offering franchise or transfer Master’s programs as well as a DBA program.
- Credit Recognition: HSU students will benefit from certificates earned at Collège de Paris being recognized by Collège de Paris.
- Student Exchange Programs: The partnership aims to develop Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) to promote student exchange programs, allowing students from both institutions to experience 1 or 2 semesters abroad, gain valuable international exposure, and enrich their academic journeys.
- Internship Programs: The collaboration may offer students access to internship programs potentially in Vietnam and the institutions within Collège de Paris’s network, providing practical work experience and international connections that enhance their resumes and career preparedness.
- International Events: Co-organized conferences, seminars, or workshops would expose students to diverse perspectives, foster collaboration and keep them updated on industry trends.
Praising the potential of the collaboration with Indiana State University, Dr. Ho Thi My Linh, Head of Hoa Sen University’s Global Engagement Office, emphasized how it aligns with their mission of offering students diverse international experiences and fostering a broader global presence for the university’s academic programs.
During the visit of the Collège de Paris delegation, the representatives attended and served as judges for the Graduation Project Defense and Honor Ceremony of the Fashion Design program, Faculty of Design – Arts. Graduates of the Fashion Design program, majoring in fashion business, receive a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design from Hoa Sen University, along with an additional certificate of completion for the Fashion Business program issued by Collège de Paris.
The proposed partnership marks a significant step towards providing students with a well-rounded, globally-oriented education. By leveraging each other’s strengths and resources, both institutions are poised to offer enriched academic programs, valuable international experiences, and enhanced career opportunities. This partnership not only benefits the students and faculty of both institutions but also contributes to the broader goal of fostering global understanding and cooperation in higher education.
We look forward to sharing further developments as this promising partnership evolves, offering our academic community a wealth of new international education and collaboration opportunities.
