Orientation Day 2025 at Hoa Sen University: Embracing Multicultural Connections in a Global Academic Environment
On March 21, 2025, Hoa Sen University successfully hosted Orientation Day 2025, organized by the Institute of International Education. The event warmly welcomed a large number of exchange students from France. The event began with a warm welcome from Mr. Edward Hockings, Director of the Hoa Sen – De Montfort Program, who provided an insightful overview of the academic environment and the unique cultural aspects of Vietnam. In particular, French exchange students were introduced to must-visit travel destinations and Vietnam’s rich culinary delights, helping them embrace a more immersive and enriching experience during their stay.
During the event, representatives from the Institute of International Education provided a detailed overview of academic regulations and policies for international students, along with step-by-step guidance on using the university’s learning portal system and course registration process at Hoa Sen University. This essential information helped international students gain a clearer understanding of the university’s operations, ensuring a smoother academic journey. Additionally, the Student Center introduced a range of dedicated support services for international students, including accommodation assistance, healthcare services, and other essential student support programs. These services aim to provide a safe and supportive environment, allowing students to focus on their studies and fully enjoy their experience in Vietnam with the university’s strong backing.
The Q&A and networking session was lively, with international students actively engaging in discussions and asking questions to university staff. Notably, they received dedicated support in resolving issues related to their personal accounts, ensuring a smoother transition into academic and campus life at Hoa Sen University.
