Along with parades and unique costume parties, this festival also shows horror movies, tells scary stories, and has art performances inspired by vampires, creating a mysterious, scary, and exciting Halloween atmosphere.  

2.4 Guy Fawkes Night

The British celebrate Guy Fawkes Night, also known as Bonfire Night, to remember the failure of the plot to blow up Parliament in 1605. Across the country, fireworks light up the sky, Guy Fawkes effigies are burned, and lively parades take place. This event comes from the “Gunpowder Plot” in the 17th century, when a group tried to overthrow the government by blowing up Parliament. To remember and warn about this event, the British created Guy Fawkes Night.
