Hội thảo “Nghề bảo hiểm và các chứng chỉ liên quan”

Actuary (Bảo hiểm) là một trong 10 nghề được đánh giá là tốt nhất ở Mỹ qua nhiều năm liền. Ở Việt Nam, nghề bảo hiểm ngày càng được các công ty tăng cường tuyển dụng để đáp ứng nhu cầu nhân lực của mình, trong khi nhân sự ngành này thường không đủ đáp ứng nhu cầu. Nhằm giúp sinh viên có cơ hội tìm hiểu về nghề bảo hiểm cũng như các chứng chỉ liên quan, Bộ môn Toán, khoa Khoa học & Công nghệ, Đại học Hoa Sen phối hợp cùng IFoA (Institute and Faculty of Actuaries) tổ chức buổi hội thảo: “The Actuarial Profession and Qualifications (nghề bảo hiểm và các chứng chỉ liên quan)”

• Giới thiệu về bảo hiểm: cơ hội nghề nghiệp
• Giới thiệu về các chứng chỉ liên quan đến nghề bảo hiểm
• Thảo luận, trao đổi

Về IFoA:

IFoA (https://www.actuaries.org.uk/) là Hiệp hội Bảo hiểm được thành lập vào ngày 01 tháng 08 năm 2010, là cơ quan chuyên môn duy nhất của Anh quốc chuyên về giáo dục, phát triển và cân đối nguồn nhân lực bảo hiểm ở Anh và quốc tế.

Về diễn giả:

Caryn Chua is the Actuary Representative of South-East Asia for the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA). Based in Singapore, Caryn aims to develop strong links with key stakeholders in South-East Asia, including local regulators, employers and universities. She also manages the interest of IFoA members in the region and is actively seeking opportunities to encourage actuarial knowledge transfer between the UK and South-East Asia.

Caryn has worked as a technical actuary in the United Kingdom, specialising in risk management and investment for insurers and pension schemes. Caryn started her career as an investment  consultant with Mercer and Jardine Lloyd Thompson, where she advised several large corporate clients in asset liability management and asset transition. Caryn subsequently assisted in managing the investment and regulatory reporting function of Sun Life of Canada. Before joining the IFoA, she served as the risk manager for Direct Line Group, providing oversight on capital adequacy, minimum standards and strategy reviews.

Caryn qualified as a Fellow of the IFoA in 2011 and graduated from Cass Business School with first class honours in Actuarial Science.
