HSU launches the “International Business Arena” competition

On March 25, Hoa Sen University’s (HSU) “International Business Arena” (IBA) competition was officially launched with the participation of a large number of students interested in the field of international business and trade.

With many competition rounds to help students build international business projects, the “International Business Arena” contest organized by students of HSU Faculty of Logistics and International Trade has attracted more than 300 contestants from schools such as Hoa Sen University, University of Transport, University of Foreign Trade… participated.

International Business Arena (IBA) is a competition in the field of business and entrepreneurship, however, contestants must not only do business domestically but must also deploy business in the international market.

Accordingly, groups of contestants prepare ideas for a business plan to export a product to a foreign market or import it from abroad to Vietnam for business. 300 contestants were divided into 44 teams and went through 3 rounds:

Round 1 – Proposal preparation:

Contestant groups prepare ideas and submit Proposal on April 18, 2024. The council includes 03 lecturers from 03 majors and will give the most comprehensive and objective comments and suggestions.

Round 2 – Report writing:

May 17, 2024: Submit report
50%: Council Lecturer + Reviewing Lecturer
50%: Presentation to the Business Council

May 25, 2024: Judging Committee report
May 27, 2024: Presentation to the Business Council
May 28, 2024: Select the top 10 groups for the Final
June 8, 2024: Confirmation of participation in the Final
June 9, 2024: Finalize the list of groups participating in the Final

Round 3 – Presentation and criticism before the Council:

June 14, 2024: Groups have 10 minutes to present the actual results of the sales project, including the number of products sold, sales and other business indicators

1 First Prize worth 5,000,000 VND
1 Second Prize worth 3,000,000 VND
1 Third Prize worth 2,000,000 VND
2 Consolation Prizes worth 1,000,000 VND

With each round, you will experience each step to complete an international business plan, develop planning skills, team building, presentation skills… while meeting and learning from other experts in the field of business and trade from multinational corporations and companies. All competition rounds are operated and organized by HSU students with the support of instructors. Let’s wait for unique business projects from IBA contestants.
