HSU launches Hoa Sen – De Montfort programme in partnership with 150-year-old UK university
On August 17, 2023, at Hoa Sen University (HSU), the launch event of Hoa Sen – De Montfort International Affiliate Program took place. With a history of more than 150 years, De Montfort University (UK) has decided to expand its training facilities in Vietnam and chose Hoa Sen University as the exclusive partner here.
Previously, in November 2022, HSU signed a cooperation agreement with DMU to implement joint training programs at undergraduate and master’s levels. Through the working process, both sides have come to an agreement and decided to put the Hoa Sen – De Montfort program into official teaching from the school year 2023-2024. The program launch ceremony aims to introduce the curriculum and answer questions for students and parents interested in this curriculum.
World-class degrees right in Vietnam
Hoa Sen-De Montfort’s partnership programme opens up a preeminent option for higher education in Vietnam, giving students the privilege of receiving prestigious UK qualifications while studying right in Vietnam at an affordable cost. This special partnership offers an alternative to the traditional form of studying abroad, suitable for the current global context.
From the UK, Mr. Simon Bradbury, Vice President of International Affairs of the University shared about the vision of the School Board in the plan to bring De Montfort University’s quality program of more than 150 years to Vietnam. He believes that with the intelligence and studious learning of Vietnamese students, students can completely become global citizens and strongly conquer markets around the world.
Advanced and practical curriculum
Under DMU’s mandate, HSU is proud to implement De Montfort’s curriculum in Vietnam. With a shared vision of educational excellence, the program is committed to cutting-edge learning and international standards, assisting students in preparing for global competition. Dr. Doan Minh Chau, Director of the Institute of Training and International Cooperation of Hoa Sen University said: “After 2 years of negotiating and implementing rigorous accreditation activities from De Montfort University, we are honored to be selected as the exclusive partner in Vietnam for the International Business, Marketing and Top-up program in Accounting for the academic year 2023-2024. It is expected that next year, we will launch more programs in Fashion Design, Master of English Language, Finance and Banking which are outstanding professions of the UK program, providing more majors of outstanding quality to Vietnamese students.”
This cooperation program specifically focuses on advanced training programs combined with practical activities. Students will have the opportunity to access original programs from the UK and participate in hands-on learning activities at Hoa Sen University. Students will have the opportunity to cooperate with multinational businesses such as Google, Grab, Tiki and Shopee, receiving guidance from experienced industry experts. In addition, the teaching staff consists of 30% international professors and 70% Vietnamese professors, most of whom have foreign degrees and practical experience in enterprises that create optimal value for learners. Students will benefit from modern facilities, including modern classrooms, libraries and auditoriums, all located in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City.
Scholarships and application deadline
