2.1. Departure
The Go Global trip begins on July 25, 2024. In the morning, Hoa Sen – De Montfort students will gather at Tan Son Nhat Airport at 6 AM to complete the immigration procedures. After these are completed, the flight will depart for Malaysia.
2.2. Explore Malaysia
2.2.1. The Money Museum
Upon arriving in Malaysia, students will have the opportunity to visit the Money Museum, where they will learn about the history of currency and the workings of the monetary system. This is an enriching experience that provides students with a comprehensive overview of the financial and economic landscape of various countries.
2.2.2. University of Wollongong (Malaysia)
Next, students will visit the University of Wollongong Malaysia. There, they will engage in cultural exchange activities with international students, listen to a presentation from the university’s rector, and attend various interesting workshops. In the afternoon, students will tour the iconic Petronas Twin Towers, enjoy recreational activities, and shop for souvenirs. Additionally, they will visit Malaysia’s largest chocolate manufacturing facility, where globally renowned products are produced.
2.2.3. Visit to Royal Selangor International Tin Factory
On the final day, students will visit the renowned Royal Selangor tin factory, known for producing household items and jewelry that have established Malaysia’s brand on the global market. Following this, students will tour the administrative offices of the Malaysian Prime Minister’s Office to learn about the government’s operations and management. At the end of the day, the 3-day, 2-night trip to Malaysia will conclude, and students will return to Vietnam.
