Student Experience at Hoa Sen De Montfort Highlights July 2024

With the motto of creating a Dynamic – Mirthful – Unique learning environment, the Hoa Sen – De Montfort program places great emphasis on extracurricular activities alongside the specialized knowledge taught in the classroom.

Study 1 – Experience 2: Students enrolled in the Hoa Sen – De Montfort program will enjoy the full experience at Hoa Sen University, just like students who are directly enrolled at Hoa Sen University.

1. THE ENTREPRENEUR TALK: A New Direction for Vietnamese Brands

The opening event for July was a livestream session on “A New Direction for Vietnamese Brands.” This livestream event featured top experts in the field and was organized in collaboration between Hoa Sen University and the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City to promote the value of Vietnamese brands.

During the event, we shared valuable experiences and knowledge about legal regulations related to livestream activities, helping businesses understand and comply with the law while maximizing the business opportunities that livestreaming offers.

2. The Youth Concert Music Festival

To provide students with a chance to unwind and enjoy after a rigorous semester of studying, the Youth Concert will be the stage for new songs, impressive mashups, unique collaborations, dramatic musical battles, and duets with idols. The event will feature talents from Hoa Sen University as well as mentors who are renowned artists: Erik, Đức Phúc, Hoàng Tôn, Nguyễn Trần Trung Quân, Quốc Thiên, and Phạm Hồng Phước.

Students will be immersed in a vibrant musical atmosphere with unique and creative performances, promising unforgettable musical experiences. The mashups, mixed with finesse and complemented by lighting effects, will amaze and delight you.

3. Workshop Series Accompanying the Youth Concert Music Event

In addition to the grand music festival for Hoa Sen University students, the event will also feature a series of skill-building workshops as part of the Youth Concert. These workshops provide students with the opportunity to interact closely with and learn from renowned artists across various fields, enhancing their skills and enriching their experiences.

4. Commencement of Renovations at Hoa Sen University Facilities

Continuing the series of events, Hoa Sen University has officially commenced the renovation of its facilities. Aiming to become an internationally recognized university that meets the needs for high-quality domestic training and attracts international students.

The project includes: Enhancing amenities and student services such as a book café at Quang Trung Library, Thánh Thái Library, relaxation areas after classes, sports facilities, canteens, increasing green spaces and surrounding landscapes, investing in learning equipment, computer systems, and lab rooms.

5. Hoa Sen Go Global

July is also the month for international integration for students. They will have the opportunity to experience an international learning environment and enjoy recreational activities in countries such as Thailand and Malaysia.

During this trip, new students at Hoa Sen University will gain new experiences to prepare for their upcoming university journey. They will interact with international students from top universities in the region, learn from them, and gain valuable insights. Additionally, these new students will have the chance to enjoy themselves thoroughly before the new academic year begins.

6. Admissions Day at the University of Science and Technology

Despite the rainy weather, many parents accompanied their children to the University and College Admission Counseling Day 2024 for guidance on university admissions. This is a crucial time for candidates to choose and secure a place at their dream institution.

At the event, Hoa Sen University faculty provided guidance on optimizing application choices and selecting the right field of study. Many attendees were particularly interested in the Hoa Sen Go Global international integration program. Previously, HSU successfully organized two educational trips to Thailand and Malaysia.

7. Livestream on the Topic of Developing Global Thinking for Students

In addition to the prominent events, the livestream on the topic of “Developing Global Thinking for Students” is also an engaging event. Students receive valuable information for their university journey as well as guidance for their future careers.

8. Summer School 2024

The Summer School is the most anticipated international study program of the year at the Hoa Sen – De Montfort program. The semester includes various cultural exchange activities and experiences designed for DMU students to immerse themselves in a multicultural environment.

Here, students will engage in academic exchanges and cultural experiences with students from the University of Leicester. They will also have the opportunity to visit London and enjoy the cuisine of the United Kingdom.
