Outstanding Hoa Sen De Montfort Student Experience April 2024

1. Talk Show Series “Understanding, Loving, and Accompanying Children” – Ep5
Hoa Sen University is proud to launch the second season of the talk show series “Understanding, Loving, and Accompanying Children”. This series, consisting of five themed episodes, aims to bridge the gap and foster connections between parents and children. Running from March to early May, each episode delivers a unique message to strengthen family bonds.
2. 1:1 Book Exchange Activity at Hoa Sen Library
In celebration of the 3rd Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day 2024, the Hoa Sen University Library is hosting “Chill Week with HSU Books – Giving Gifts of Love.” Coordinated with the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, and the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Information and Communications, this annual event allows students to exchange books. Bring a book you love to the library and receive a gift book from the library’s extensive collection. This activity promotes knowledge sharing and community connection among readers and the library.
3. Exchange Program with President of Hoa Sen Group
The student exchange program themed “Overcoming Oneself” is inspired by Mr. Le Phuoc Vu, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hoa Sen Group, and organized by Hoa Sen Group and Hoa Sen University. This program, featuring guest appearances by MC Quyen Linh, MC Thanh Thao, Singer Kyo York, B2C Dance Group, and Tra My from HSU Shock Performing Arts Team, is a journey of business success and kindness. For over 23 years, Hoa Sen Group has upheld its philosophy of “Honesty – Community – Development,” contributing to society through numerous sponsorship and charity programs.
4. Earth Day 2024 Activities: “Give Old Clothes, Cover the Earth Green”
The “Giving Old Clothes – Greening the Earth” activity has garnered significant attention from students eager to contribute to environmental sustainability. Students, teachers, lecturers, and staff of the Hoa Sen – De Montfort program participate in this initiative, emphasizing social responsibility and human values. These small contributions help spread love and gratitude, fostering a better world.
5. Experiential Learning and Visiting Ajinomoto Vietnam Factory
Students of the Hoa Sen – De Montfort program recently visited the Ajinomoto Vietnam factory, learning about its production lines that comply with ASQUA and ISO 9001:2015 standards. The visit, part of the program’s “Real Learning, Real Doing” philosophy, was led by Dr. Nguyen Chi Duy Khuong, Deputy Director of the Institute of International Training. Such activities encourage students to think proactively and enhance their information reception skills through practical learning experiences at successful businesses like Ajinomoto.
6. Livestream Series UK IntellGate 2024 Ep1: Learning with a British Flavor: What to Expect from DMU in Vietnam
Ep1 of the UK IntellGate 2024 series, titled “Learning with a British Flavor: What to Expect from De Montfort University in Vietnam,” features Dr. Mohammad Saleh Torkestani, a senior lecturer in Marketing and Head of the Master of Public Relations and Advertising Management program at De Montfort University. Hosted by Dr. Nguyen Chi Duy Khuong, the director of the Hoa Sen – De Montfort program, this episode provides insights into the student experience and opportunities at DMU in Vietnam.
