Important Information Regarding The 2024 Admissions Process For Hoa Sen – De Montfort Program
With the aim of providing the best international learning opportunities right in Vietnam, Hoa Sen University (HSU) has signed an exclusive cooperation agreement with De Montfort University (DMU) from the United Kingdom, bringing DMU’s curriculum to Vietnam.
1. Introduction to Hoa Sen-De Montfort Program
The Hoa Sen-De Montfort alliance program is an undergraduate program delivered through the “studying abroad from home” approach. This means that DMU authorizes HSU to exclusively implement DMU’s teaching programs, led by a faculty of instructors meeting DMU’s standards, verified and recognized by DMU. Upon completion of the program, students will be awarded globally recognized degrees by DMU.
The program is entirely conducted in English using the Block Teaching method (where students study only 4 subjects per year), aiming to provide students with in-depth knowledge and emphasize practical experiences in learning. Throughout their studies, students will engage in practical exercises and real-world work environments to enhance the effectiveness of their learning process.
Students have the opportunity to study abroad in the UK at DMU, either transferring for their final year, choosing to study their final year at either DMU or HSU, participating in short-term study exchange programs at DMU, or engaging in internships and study tours to experience the international learning environment in the UK. For those who enjoy experiencing international learning environments with optimized costs, this is the optimal choice – studying according to the international curriculum, spending the final year abroad at a lower cost compared to a traditional 4-year study abroad program.
2. Information about the 2024 Admissions for Hoa Sen-De Montfort Program
2.1 Admission Methods
– Method 1: Admission based on the results of the 2024 National High School Graduation Examination.
– Method 2: Admission based on high school transcripts.
– Method 3: Admission based on the results of the 2024 National Entrance Examinations of Hanoi National University and Ho Chi Minh City National University.

2.2 Admission Regulations
- 3-year program: Requires an IELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent, completion of International Baccalaureate (IB), Advanced Placement (AP), A Levels, or Canadian International High School Diploma (CIHSD), or participation in Hoa Sen University’s Early University Program; must be 18 years old by October 1, 2024.
- 3.5-year program: Requires a minimum IELTS score of 5.0 or equivalent, graduation from Vietnamese high schools/International High Schools.
3. Undergraduate Programs
Currently, the Hoa Sen-De Montfort program offers 4 undergraduate programs:
- International Business
- Business Management
- Marketing
- Graphic Design
Direct admission to the specialization phase criteria:
- Applicants meeting the admission criteria in section 2 and holding valid international English proficiency certificates (valid until the application submission date), including an IELTS certificate with a score of 6.0 or equivalent.
- For Early Entrance Program applicants, the English proficiency requirement is an IELTS score of 5.0 or equivalent.
