Admission Notice for the Hoa Sen – De Montfort Program – 2024

The Hoa Sen – De Montfort Program is now accepting applications for university admission in 2024. Below are the key details:

1. Program Overview:

The Hoa Sen – De Montfort program offers a 3-year training program based on the original curriculum of De Montfort Public University, UK. The program spans 3 years, excluding 1 year of general education, with 2 semesters per year. Instruction is conducted in English.

2. Training Format:

The program primarily focuses on international collaborative initiatives.

3. Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must be high school graduates or possess an equivalent qualification.

4. Admission Requirements:

For the 3-year program: Applicants must hold a certificate with a minimum score of 6.0 in IELTS or its equivalent. Alternatively, they should have graduated from the International Baccalaureate (IB), Advanced Placement (AP), A Levels, Canadian Baccalaureate, or participated in Hoa Sen University’s Early College program. Additionally, applicants must be 18 years old by October 1, 2024.

For the 3.5-year program: Applicants must have attained a minimum score of 5.0 in IELTS or its equivalent. They should have graduated from a Vietnamese high school or an international high school.

5. Admission Procedures:

5.1. Admission based on 2024 National High School Exam Results:

Criteria for ensuring input quality: The institution will announce the threshold scores upon the release of the 2024 National High School Exam results (following the Ministry of Education and Training’s schedule). Conditions for admission application: Completion of high school or equivalent education; Participation in the 2024 National High School Exam.

Admission for all undergraduate majors.

5.2. Admission based on High School Transcripts:

5.2.1. Admission based on Academic Results (Transcripts) from 3 years of high school, excluding the second semester of grade 12:

An average score of 6.0 points or higher (rounded to the nearest decimal) across all subjects in grades 10, 11, and the first semester of grade 12 is required. The admission score must meet or exceed the entrance quality assurance threshold set by the institution.

Admission for all undergraduate majors.

5.2.2. Admission based on Academic Results (Study Transcripts) from 3 years of High School:

An average score of 6.0 points or higher (rounded to the nearest decimal) across all subjects in grades 10, 11, and 12 is required. The admission score must meet or exceed the entrance quality assurance threshold set by the institution.

Admission for all undergraduate majors.

5.3. Admission Process Based on Competency Assessment Exam Results for Hanoi National University and Ho Chi Minh City National University 2024:

Applicants are required to participate in the competency assessment exam conducted by Hanoi National University and Ho Chi Minh City National University in 2024. To qualify, candidates must achieve a minimum score of 600 points on the 1200-point scale or 67 points on the 150-point scale.

6. Eligibility for Direct Entry to Specialized Stage:

Candidates must fulfill the admission criteria outlined in section 4 and hold a valid international English certificate at the time of application. Acceptable certifications include an IELTS 6.0 certificate or its equivalent. For candidates in the University Foundation program, the requirement is an IELTS 5.0 certificate or equivalent.

7. Admission Rounds:

Primary admission round: Scheduled for January 2024.

Additionally, candidates who completed high school in 2023 or earlier have the opportunity to enroll at other times throughout 2024.

8. Application for enrollment includes:

– Submission of admission registration form;

– High school transcript;

– High school diploma from 2024. If graduated earlier, a copy of the diploma from the year of admission;

– Foreign high school diploma or completion certificate from an international program;

– Diploma from professional secondary school or college;

– Results of the national university competency assessment exam;

– IELTS certificate with a score of 5.0 or higher, or an equivalent English proficiency certificate.

Note:

– Depending on the admission method, students need to provide either the high school transcript or the results of the national university competency assessment exam, and either the high school diploma or the professional secondary school/college diploma.

– All copies must be notarized, with foreign documents requiring notarized translations.
