Admission Notice for Hoa Sen – De Montfort Program – 2023
Hoa Sen – De Montfort Program is pleased to announce university admissions for the year 2023. Below are the detailed admission criteria and procedures:
1. Admission Criteria:
Expected enrollment: 100 students.
2. Training Program:
The Hoa Sen – De Montfort program offers a 3-year study duration (excluding 1 general year), with 2 semesters per year. Instruction is conducted in English.
3. Form of Training:
Regularly focused on foreign cooperation programs.
4. Enrollment Subjects:
High school graduates or equivalent.
5. Admission Methods:
5.1. High School Academic Record:
– Average grade throughout grade 11; or First semester of grade 12; or the whole academic year of grade 12 with a minimum GPA of 6.0.
– Applicants for the Information Technology program need to meet an additional requirement of having a minimum GPA of 6.0 in one of the three subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry.
5.2. National High School Graduation Examination Results
The expected admission scores will be announced after the examination results are available.
5.3. Results of the National University of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City National University’s Competency Assessment Exam
– For results of the competency assessment exam of the Hanoi National University:
– Applicants with scores of 70 or above are eligible for direct admission to the university.
– Applicants with scores of 85 or above are eligible for DMU Leicester (UK) scholarships.
– For results of the competency assessment exam of Ho Chi Minh City National University:
– Applicants with scores of 700 or above are eligible for direct admission to the university.
– Applicants with scores of 850 or above are eligible for DMU Leicester (UK) scholarships.
5.4. Overseas Study Programs and International Programs: Applicants need to meet one of the following conditions:
– Cambridge Advanced Level Certificate (A level).
– International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma.
– High School Graduation and SAT 1 scores with a minimum score of 800.
– High School Graduation Certificate from other countries.
Special cases will be individually evaluated by the Admissions Committee.
6. Conditions for Direct Entry to the Specialized Stage:
Candidates meeting admission requirements and possessing valid international English certificates (e.g., IELTS 5.0+) can enter the specialized stage directly. Others will undergo English preparation.
7. Admission Rounds:
Main admission round: July 2023. Additional rounds available for candidates who graduated high school in 2022 or earlier.
8. Application for Admission:
Required documents include an admission application form, photos, certified copies of academic documents, birth certificate, ID card/passport, and English certificate (if applicable).
9. Register for Admission Online:
Interested candidates can register for admission information online on the school’s website. The institute will provide guidance on document preparation.
