Associate Professor, Dr. Vo Thi Ngoc Thuy successfully defended her doctoral thesis in Management Science, specializing in Marketing in France at the age of 29. She has several years of teaching experience at Hue University, Ho Chi Minh City National University, Aix-Marseille University, and Kedge University in France.
In 2018, she was among the young Ph.D. holders promoted to the position of Associate Professor. Accumulating 15 years of experience in managerial positions, including 2 years as Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Department; 6 years in positions such as Deputy Dean of the International Training Institute (Ho Chi Minh City National University), Head of the Marketing Department, and program coordinator for collaborative training programs with French universities specializing in Economics & Management at the University of Economics and Law (Ho Chi Minh City National University).
In addition to her academic work, she has served as the Ambassador of the French Marketing Association in Vietnam, President of the Student Association at Hue University of Economics, and Member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association.
Dr. Phan Thi Viet Nam earned her Doctorate in Educational Administration from California State University, Fullerton (USA) in 2014 and has nearly 20 years of experience at Hoa Sen University, holding positions such as Head of Quality Assurance and Testing Department, Director of the Outstanding Teacher Education Center, Director of the Research and Accreditation Center for Higher Education…
She received commendation from the Minister of Education and Training for outstanding individual and collective achievements in ensuring and accrediting the quality of higher education and teacher training colleges during the period of 2011-2020.
Dr. Doan Minh Chau currently serves as the Dean of Institute of International Education at Hoa Sen University. Dr. Doan Minh Chau is also a lecturer responsible for teaching Marketing and Communications courses in both undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
Dr. Chau holds Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in Knowledge Science, specializing in Marketing in Japan. Additionally, she has over 10 years of experience in the fields of Communications and Marketing, and worked at multinational corporations such as Intel and PepsiCo.
Dr. Nguyen Chi Duy Khuong serves as the Academic Director of Hoa Sen – De Montfort Program at Hoa Sen University. Dr. Khuong is also a lecturer responsible for teaching English Language and Linguistics.
Dr. Khuong holds Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in Linguistics in India. Additionally, he has over 15 years of experience in the field of Education at leading universities in Vietnam such as Hoa Sen University and Ho Chi Minh University of Pedagogy.
Mr. Phu Truong Thang currently serves as Director of Admissions and Communications at Institute of International Education, Hoa Sen University. He is also a lecturer responsible for teaching courses in Tourism Service Management and Hospitality in the undergraduate program.
Mr. Thang holds a Master’s degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management from the GBSB International Business School (Spain). Additionally, he has 5 years of experience in the tourism industry and has worked at companies such as Bangkok Airways, Golden Tours, and Drive Vietnam.
Mr. Mike Gibson currently serves as a lecturer at De Montfort University, Leicester. Mr. Mike holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management & Development from the University of Leicester. With nearly 10 years of experience in language teaching across various countries, he brings a wealth of expertise to his role.
Dr. Mohammad Saleh Torkestani is currently a senior lecturer in Marketing and Programme Leader of MsC of Advertising and PR Management at De Montfort University, Leicester. He typically teaches subjects related to Political Theory and Political Science.
Dr. Mohammad holds a Master’s degree in Information Technology Management from Allameh Tabataba’i University, Tehran, Iran, and Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Isfahan, Isfahan, Iran. Additionally, Dr. Mohammad has professional experience working at companies such as the National Elites Foundation and Asia Insurance Company.
Duncan Hepworth works as Partnership Development Manager within the Global Partnership Unit and is responsible for identifying and developing new Transnational Education Partnerships. Duncan’s geographic area includes Africa, South East and East Asia and the Americas.
Duncan has over 20 years’ experience within the education sector both in the UK and overseas and has been with DMU since December 2017.
Before working at DMU, Duncan has worked in international higher and secondary education recruitment with education institutions and recruitment agents around the world for over five years.
Neil Hart is the Associate Director of Transnational Education (TNE) within the Global Partnerships Unit (GPU). He has oversight of the university’s TNE activities, ensuring smooth transition of new partnership developments into mainstream GPU and faculty-based workstreams.
Neil joined DMU in 2021 and has worked in Higher Education since 1996 with more than a decade in TNE roles setting up and managing international and UK based partnerships for Staffordshire University and Coventry University.
He has lived and worked in a number of Sub-Saharan African countries including Zimbabwe, South Africa and the Democratic Republic of Congo and began his career in education working as a voluntary Physics teacher under the auspices of Voluntary Services Overseas (VSO) in the Western Region of Ghana.
Neil has a PhD in Engineering and is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Associate Dean International, Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Media at De Montfort University
The majority of Richard’s research career is focused on the development of thin films for electronic devices such as thin film transistors (TFTs), primarily involving amorphous silicon and hydroxy-oxide zinc.
Richard’s current primary interest lies in the novel development of nano-scale materials, exploring nano-bio interfaces, and directly connecting nano-sized materials/devices with biological systems.
Holly Everley is a Global Partnerships Officer within the Global Partnership Unit at DMU. Helping to co-ordinating the university’s engagement with transnational education (TNE) and overseas recruitment partnerships, her key areas include franchise arrangements and progression agreements.
Holly joined DMU in June 2020 and has previously been working with the Partnerships Team within Social Impact and Engagement here at DMU.
Holly graduated from York St John University where she studied BSc (Hons) Psychology. Holly is also a Lean Competency Systems (LCS) practitioner at Level 1b and is certified Carbon Literate by the Carbon Literacy Project.
Jie Liu is a Senior Lecturer in English Language Teaching at School of Humanities and Performing Arts, ADH. She obtained a doctorate degree in Applied Linguistics in 2012 at Cardiff University. Jie has gained extensive experience of teaching in different countries. Before joining DMU in 2017 as the programme leader of MA English Language Teaching, Jie taught English language at tertiary level in China for over 15 years, and the MA TESOL and Applied Linguistic programmes at University College Dublin (UCD), Ireland for 2 years. Drawing on her own teaching experience, Jie has developed strong research interests in instructions on English reading and students’ reading development, in particular, how critical thinking, classroom teaching/learning, and the situated learning environment are intertwined to affect students’ reading development over time.
Dr. Phan Vo Minh Thang currently serves as Dean of Economics and Business Faculty at Hoa Sen University. He is also a lecturer responsible for teaching courses in Economics and Business in the undergraduate program.
He holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science and a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand. Additionally, he has 10 years of experience working in software technology centers in various positions such as team leader, department head, and CEO.

Dr. Nguyen Huu Hao currently serves as Dean of Logistics and International Trade at Hoa Sen University. He is also a lecturer responsible for teaching courses in Economics Management and International Trade in the undergraduate program.
He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Charles Sturt University, Australia, and a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the International Business Academy of Scandinavia, Denmark – Malaysia. Additionally, he has 15 years of experience in researching various scientific topics at different levels such as university and institutions.
Ms. Phung Thai Minh Trang currently serves as Dean of Finance and Banking Faculty at Hoa Sen University. She is also a lecturer responsible for teaching courses in Finance.
She holds a Master’s degree in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) from Victoria University, Australia, and a Ph.D. in Finance from Massey University. Additionally, she has 9 years of experience in training and teaching. Furthermore, she is the primary and co-author in research projects between Hoa Sen University and Massey University, Auckland University of Technology.
Dr. Edward Hockings currently serves as a lecturer in the Hoa Sen – De Montfort program.
He holds a Master’s degree in Politics, Philosophy, and International Relations from King’s College London and a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of the West of Scotland. Additionally, he has 12 years of experience in training and teaching.
Mr. Jorge Agustin Martinez Perez is currently a lecturer at De Montfort University. He graduated with a Master’s degree in Business International Management from the University Menendez Pelayo. Additionally, he has previous work experience at the French Embassy in Vietnam and at several multinational companies such as Premo Vietnam and Chemarome Vn.

Mr. Tran Quang Hai currently serves as the Director of the General English Program at the Faculty of Languages and International Culture, Hoa Sen University. Alongside his managerial role, he is also a Research Fellow at the Department of Linguistics, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
