Training workshop on self-assessment at the program level according to AUN-QA

On June 18, 2020, the Office of Testing- Quality Assurance conducted a training workshop on self-assessment at the program level according to AUN-QA in Room 903 of the Nguyen Van Trang campus.

Hoa Sen University was honored to invite Dr. Ngo Van Thuyen, AUN-QA Assessor and Chairman of the University Council of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education, as the guest speaker. From Hoa Sen University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu, Vice President, and Dr. Phan Thi Viet Nam, Head of the Office of Testing – Quality Assurance along with members of the self-assessment teams of the Information Technology program, the Restaurant Management program, the Interior Design program, and other interested lecturers and staff participated in the workshop.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu, in his opening speech, emphasized the importance and relevance of quality assessment based on AUN-QA criteria. He hoped that the University would enhance its self-assessment process to achieve significant improvements in academic quality, human resources, and other areas.

The training aimed to provide guidance to the participating lecturers and staff on the quality criteria and self-assessment process in accordance with AUN-QA following the speaker’s instruction through lectures and group exercises.

This training activity is an important preparatory step for the faculties to focus on analyzing the quality criteria, collecting evidence, finalizing the self-assessment report, and making the official assessment in 2021.
