On July 9, 2020, the Office of Testing – Quality Assurance hosted a consultation workshop on self-assessment of programs according to AUN-QA standards. The workshop was instructed by Dr. Ngo Van Thuyen, who is an AUN-QA assessor and the University Council’s Chairman at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education.

Hoa Sen University (HSU) has always prioritized quality assurance throughout its development journey, with particular emphasis on the institutional self-assessment process to enhance academic quality. In 2018, HSU began its institutional-level self-assessment process following Circular 12 by the Ministry of Education and Training on May 19, 2017. The assessment team visited the university on November 8, 2019, to survey, interview, and observe its activities, and identified shortcomings and inappropriate evidence that the university needed to adjust before the official visit.
